Hotline Post for November 13, 2009
Thank you for contacting the NAPUS Hotline. This is Executive Director Ken Engstrom at the NAPUS national office in Alexandria, Virginia on Friday November 13, 2009.
Notice: The Board of Governors is meeting this week at Postal Service headquarters, November 12-13, 2009.
Update: National Vice President Jenness Rogers, Area 18 this week had additional surgery to repair the damage she suffered last week in the car accident. She came out of this surgery in fine shape but has a long road to recovery. She very much enjoys hearing from her NAPUS family and can be reached at her home address or the hospital. Home: PO Box 161, Harper, TX. 78631. Hospital: University Hospital, 4502 Medical Dr. Room 1224, San Antonio, TX. 78229.
Need to Know: The 2010 Rate Change Cheat Sheet that is effective 1-4-2010 is now posted in the NAPUS web page under the reference document icon.
The Executive Director attended a briefing at Postal Headquarters on the new ePayroll program on November 9, 2009. This function offers more detailed pay and benefit information than the traditional hard-copy earnings statement, PS Form 1223-B. The use of abbreviations has been reduced and more information has been added on leave usage and balances. ePayroll is available to employees who receive their salaries by Direct Deposit, and can be reached through “LiteBlue” by use of employee identification number and password.
Need to Know: This week under the NPA/PFP icon in the NAPUS web page there have been two updates. The “Fiscal Year 2009 Pay-for-Performance Mitigating Factors” is now posted. Please read this process. The deadline for submission to SER (Manager, Selection, Evaluation, and Recognition) of all approved forms is December 11, 2009. The new “FY10 Corporate-Unit Indicators Composite Goals” and the summary of the changes are also now posted for your information. There are significant changes to the percentages, corporate and unit.
The next “hotline” will be posted the week of December 1, 2009. President Dale Goff, Secretary/Treasurer Wayne Orshak, and the NAPUS Staff wish ALL a very happy Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 26th.
As always, I am here to help you.
