Policy on EEO Complaint Registration

RE: NAPUS POLICY ON EEO COMPLAINT REPRESENTATION
Upon a member’s request, NAPUS will provide a representative to serve as technical advisor to assist in processing an EEO complaint. NAPUS will also provide representation for mediation/redress during the informal state.
The complainant is responsible to meet all requirements to move the complaint to the formal stage if it is not resolved at the informal stage. This include completing all necessary documents and providing timely responses to all requests for information from the Agency and/or the Administrative Judge.
NAPUS representatives are not attorneys; however, upon your requests, they may act as your technical advisor at an EEO hearing. You may also choose to retain an attorney anytime during the process at your own expense.
